Job Summary

As a key member of the Krupp Bilstein of America, Inc. team, the Plant Operations Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities. This position will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of Material Handlers, ensuring a safe working environment, and promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist supervisors in developing work procedures and schedules to optimize warehouse operations
  • Direct and oversee Material Handlers in lifting, transporting, and loading materials for storage and production
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety and environmental policies
  • Lead daily start-up meetings to communicate goals and special announcements
  • Monitor workload to ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met
  • Coordinate manpower to ensure needs are met in the event of an employee absence
  • Interpret specifications and job orders to Material Handlers and assign duties
  • Promote and support a teamwork approach to achieving goals
  • Ensure the development of Material Handlers through cross-training and performance monitoring
  • Recognize good performance and take corrective action when needed
  • Embrace a continuous improvement approach through effective leadership
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience leading and motivating teams in high-volume work environments
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment safely operating facility material handling equipment
  • Experience operating various stand-up forklifts
