Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled System Safety Engineer to join our team at Airbus Protect Limited. As a key member of our Safety Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our aircraft systems.

The Role:

  • Support the development of safety-critical systems, including coordination with suppliers and flight tests.
  • Lead and support the Airbus Safety Team as the Safety focal point on Functional Safety activities.
  • Generate and review Safety Assessments and Analyses for Aircraft Systems, including Fault Trees, Quantitative and Qualitative Assessments.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure safety and technical requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain safety-related documentation, including Statements of Work and planning and resource needs.
  • Support phase reviews and Validation and Verification activities to ensure safety and technical needs are met.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Aeronautical engineering, ideally in the field of Safety and Reliability engineering.
  • Experience of Safety processes, regulations, and guidelines, including CS/AC, ARP 4761, and ARP 4754A.
  • Good knowledge of Aircraft Systems and safety-related regulations.
  • Experience of requirement management, including use of DOORS, is desirable.
  • Experience in the Landing Gear perimeter would be beneficial.
  • Track record of leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and staff members, with delivery to Time, Cost, and Quality.
