The role of the Building Operations Supervisor is essential in overseeing various aspects of facility management for a large-scale corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients through regular communication and attendance at meetings.
  • Coordinate and supervise repair and maintenance tasks carried out by technicians, vendors, and contractors, ensuring high standards of service.
  • Review and manage work orders to guarantee timely completion of assignments.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of facilities and prepare detailed reports.
  • Oversee logistical operations related to moves, additions, and changes within the facility.
  • Solicit and evaluate price quotes for the procurement of necessary parts, services, and labor for various projects.
  • Manage capital improvement projects, including budget preparation and variance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, providing training on operational procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy in invoice processing and cost center coding.
  • Deliver training on processes and procedures to team members.
  • Perform financial and business analysis, including the preparation of comprehensive reports.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, accompanied by a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Candidates with a combination of education and experience will also be considered. A valid driver's license is required, and Facility Management certification is advantageous.

Applicants should possess a technical background in maintenance and experience in staffing, training, and performance management. Strong leadership skills are essential to motivate teams and enhance job quality and efficiency.

Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong analytical mindset are crucial for success in this role. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in complex mathematical calculations relevant to financial assessments.
