Job Responsibilities

Under the general guidance of the Dean of Business, Computers, Related Technologies and Public Services, the incumbent will be tasked with delivering high-quality instruction and overseeing the Cybersecurity program. The role requires a solid understanding of the subject matter and valid teaching credentials as defined by relevant educational standards. Responsibilities include:
  • Course Development: Creating and maintaining course documentation; selecting appropriate textbooks; managing instructional materials; ensuring preparedness for classes; organizing class and lab schedules effectively; coordinating special events and ordering necessary supplies.
  • Instructional Delivery: Providing students with essential course information, timely assessments, and feedback; relating practical examples to theoretical concepts; adhering to grading policies; and participating in student evaluations annually.
  • Student Support: Maintaining regular office hours; assisting students with their academic needs; and keeping accurate records of student interactions.
  • Community Engagement: Supporting recruitment efforts; assisting with job placement initiatives; and participating in college and community committees.
  • Administrative Duties: Submitting reports punctually; arranging the learning environment for optimal effectiveness; maintaining accurate records; and enforcing disciplinary measures when necessary.
Minimum and Additional Requirements

A Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Technology, Information Science, Information Assurance, or a related field is required, along with two years of college-level teaching experience and relevant industry certifications.

Additional Comments

Evening and weekend teaching may be required, along with additional hours during peak periods.
