Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geriatric Care Specialist to join our team at Elite Staffing Network. As a Geriatric Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive geriatric primary care and post-acute care services to our senior living residents.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Functions independently to complete history and physical data on patients; performs complete physical exams; interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient needs.
  • Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic treatment modalities.
  • Collaborates, educates and supervises Advance Practice Providers in managing acute and longterm medical needs of patients.
  • Maintains and reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information accurately and efficiently.
  • Instructs and educates patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.

Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree in Medicine (M.D) or Osteopathy (D.O.)
  • 2+ years of experience in geriatrics, primary care, or post-acute care
  • Valid Medical Doctor (MD) license in the state of South Carolina (SC)
  • BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine certification
  • Current DPS and DEA certificates
