Position Summary:

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your role will involve supporting the daily financial activities of Berglund Automotive's dealerships.
Your main responsibilities will include reconciling purchase orders with vendor invoices and statements, maintaining precise financial records, and ensuring timely and compliant vendor payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile purchase orders with vendor invoices and statements.
  • Identify appropriate account and company allocations and accurately code invoices.
  • Input invoices into the accounting system.
  • Select checks for payment processing.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations for check runs.
  • Prepare checks for management signatures.
  • Address inquiries from management as needed.
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure timely receipt of necessary documents.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in accounting or accounts payable is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient computer skills, including accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
