Job Title: Automotive Lead Technician

Bridgestone Retail Operations, a part of Bridgestone Americas, is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Lead Technician to join our team. As a leader in the automotive industry, we employ over 22,000 teammates in North America, operating more than 2,200 company-owned stores across the continent.

Job Summary

The Automotive Lead Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, while mentoring and leading a team of technicians to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
  • Lead and mentor a team of technicians to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction and quality repair standards.
  • Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
  • Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
Requirements
  • Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
  • Must have a minimum 5 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field, or demonstrated skills via third-party certificates/assessment.
  • A.S.E. certification in at least 5 (five) of A1-A8 (L1 can be one of the five) is required.
  • Maintains Federal, State, and Local certification/license where applicable.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
  • Reading, writing, and math skills.
