- Advise business leaders on insurance-related matters, providing expert analysis and recommendations to inform risk management decisions.
- Develop and maintain annual insurance budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk tolerance.
- Build and maintain relationships with insurance brokers, monitoring their performance and ensuring optimal service delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams and global group insurance to ensure consistency and best practices in risk management.
- Develop and provide periodic reporting and metrics, assisting with risk valuation and providing insights to inform business decisions.
- Perform ad-hoc projects and develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance and risk management excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance & Risk Management, Finance, or a quantitative field.
- Insurance or Risk Management certification (CPCU or IRM) is a plus.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in insurance, with a strong background in risk management and analytics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of casualty, property, workers' compensation, auto, cargo, rolling stock, D&O, EPL, and other insurance coverages.
- Knowledge of captive insurance programs is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive results and support intelligent risk-taking.
- Business acumen and understanding of risk assessment methodologies.
- Hands-on, results-driven individual with strong project management skills.
- Ability to challenge the status quo, drive change, and adjust to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Goal-oriented with the ability to manage workload when conflicting priorities exist.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of ERP and RMIS systems.
- Bilingual skills in Portuguese and/or Spanish are a plus.
