Bienvivir All-Inclusive Health is a community-based healthcare organization that provides comprehensive care services to frail seniors. Our mission is to promote quality of life, independence, dignity, and choices in a nurturing environment.
We are seeking a skilled Daycare Personal Care Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct care to participants in need of cognitive and physical assistance in our Adult Day Care program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic skilled personal care tasks, such as bathing, toileting, and dressing, as per the participant's wishes or as directed by the Floor Manager.
- Monitor and assist participants in the Quiet Room, Day Room, restrooms, and showers.
- Report any pertinent information regarding the participant's health status or needs to the Floor Manager.
- Assist with laundry, cleaning, and maintaining the day health center in a neat, safe, and orderly fashion.
- Distribute meals and assist participants with feeding as needed.
- Provide reassurance, encouragement, and support to participants.
- Motivate participants to maximize involvement with program activities and to increase independence according to their abilities.
- Assist with loading and unloading of participants on/off the van during their arrival and departure from the center.
- Change participant oxygen tubing and label each week.
- Document encounters on a daily basis according to guidelines.
- Assist with recreational, physical, and social activities.
- Maintain the department's supply inventory per protocol.
- Adhere to all Bienvivir policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalency
- Texas Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
- CPR certified
- Food Handlers Card
- One year of experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Basic Computer Skills
