Daycare Escort

The Daycare Escort is a vital member of our team, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our participants during medical appointments. This role requires a compassionate and observant individual who can provide personal care and support as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany participants to medical appointments and oversee their safety during these visits.
- Provide personal care, including transfers, toileting, and ambulation, as required.
- Communicate appointment-related information to the Floor Manager and Clinic Participant Manager.
- Maintain a folder with participant schedules and appointment details.
- Clock in and out on time and report any time-keeping issues to the Floor Manager.
- Ensure participants have their snacks and lunches identified and verified on the Appointment Matrix.
- Attend mandatory meetings and trainings, including the annual Skills Fair.
- Maintain equipment and supplies necessary for appointment Escort duties.
- Report to the Floor Manager daily for assignments and drive participants to appointments in their own vehicle.
- Contact the Clinic Participant Manager and Floor Manager in case of participant emergencies.
- Assist with center floor operations, including ambulating participants, supply inventory, and providing assistance with ADLs.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Texas is preferred.
- Must have at least one year of experience caring for the frail elderly.
- Must be CPR certified and have a current Food Handler's Card.
- Experience in delivering personal care is required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
- Reliable transportation with a valid Texas Driver's License and current proof of insurance is necessary.
- Must attend 12 hours of in-service training per year and maintain current immunizations.
