Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the safe use of hand and power tools, identifying potential hazards and mitigating risks.
  • Participate in the disassembly and assembly of unit equipment, ensuring proper permits are obtained and understood.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health, safety, quality, and environmental processes.
  • Perform Hole Watch and Fire Watch duties, working collaboratively with the team to support project objectives.
Requirements
  • 0 or more years of experience in industrial mechanical trades.
  • Able to assist with installing piping and piping components, assembly and disassembly of equipment, and basic construction math.
  • Must be willing to attend continued training and participate in MMS-provided apprenticeship programs, such as the NCCER Core Curriculum.
  • Comply with Manhattan Mechanical Services' drug and alcohol policy and pass physical examinations as required.
Work Environment

The normal work environment for this position will be in an industrial facility, which has been determined to be a safety-sensitive environment. You will experience exposure to outdoor weather conditions, and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for various potential hazards.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairways, carry 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials, and work at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces and be clean-shaven to wear a respirator and other PPE when required.
Safety and Environmental
  • Must be able to pass applicable site-specific training and read and understand safety instructions, signs, labels, and permits in English.
