Job Summary

As a key member of the Student Affairs team at Baltimore City Community College, the Office Specialist - Financial Aid will provide exceptional support to students, faculty, and staff. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service background, with experience working in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office software applications, specifically MS Word and Excel, is required. Additionally, the ability to maintain confidentiality of student information and records is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general information to students and others regarding the onboarding and registration processes.
  • Perform office functions such as making copies, filing, data entry, and other back-office functions as assigned.
  • Maintain files/filing systems for the office.
  • Maintain the general appearance/orderliness of the department office.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office software applications required, specifically MS Word and Excel
  • Some experience working in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment
  • Some experience using a multi-line phone system
