DISH Network is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our Satellite Terminal Hardware Design team. As a key member of our Ground Segment Group, you will be responsible for developing and delivering advanced user terminal solutions for our high-throughput ground networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Manage the technical development and project management for the development and delivery of advanced user terminal solutions for satellite and terrestrial IP-based communications systems.
- Team Management: Lead and direct a multi-functional engineering team to develop and integrate hardware, software, and network technology to satisfy customer requirements and deliverables.
- Project Planning: Establish objectives, specifications, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and contingency plans to ensure projects are executed effectively.
- Development Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the development over the entire project life (concept, development, integration, qualification, acceptance, and delivery).
- Collaboration: Coordinate across multiple corporate functions including business, operations, and manufacturing.
- Customer Interface: Perform the function of technical customer interface.
- Contractual Commitments: Ensure the timely and cost-effective accomplishment of contractual commitments.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience with a background in hardware development of satellite and terrestrial IP-based user terminal architectures and systems.
- Leadership Experience: 5+ years leading cross-functional engineering teams in design and development projects with external customer deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Education: Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of systems to include: baseband, RF, antenna, and electronic packaging technologies.
- Project Management: Project management experience highly desired with formal training or equivalent (PMP) training.
