At St. Tammany Health System, we are committed to delivering world-class healthcare close to home. We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis.

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in the respiratory department. You will work with a complete understanding of the equipment, supplies, indications, and contraindications for use, as well as the physiological effects on the patient.

Key qualifications for this role include successful completion of a CoARC-approved school of Respiratory Therapy/Cardiopulmonary Science, current certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist, and current licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners as a licensed respiratory therapist.

BLS and ALS certifications through ILCOR-provided courses are also required. NICU and PICU experience, along with NRP and PALS certifications, are highly preferred.

As a per diem employee, you will be expected to work weekends and holidays.

Physical demands of this role include standing, sitting, or walking for long periods of time, lifting at least 50 pounds, and working in a moderate level of noise.
