Hotel General Manager Assistant

The ideal candidate will have experience in the hotel industry, specifically in a front desk or AGM role, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills. They will be responsible for assisting the General Manager with daily tasks, including:

  • Financial Management: assisting with accounting and reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Staff Management: scheduling, training, and supervising a team of 6 or more staff members.
  • Property Maintenance: ensuring the property is well-maintained, including upkeep and safety guidelines.
  • Brand Standards: ensuring the hotel meets brand standards and guidelines.
  • Training and Development: providing training and development opportunities for staff members.

The successful candidate will be required to work at least two desk shifts a week, with the ability to cover additional shifts as needed. They will also be on call to handle any needs that may arise when the General Manager is unavailable.

We are looking for someone who is familiar with:

  • Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • OPERA PMS system.
  • Scheduling software.
  • Supervising a team of 6 or more staff members.
  • Working with co-workers to boost team morale.
  • Delegating tasks effectively.

The salary for this position is between $40,000 and $48,000 annually, depending on experience.
