Pulmonary Hypertension Specialist

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonology and Critical Care, is in search of a committed Pulmonary Hypertension/Pulmonary Proceduralist to enhance our team at a leading tertiary care teaching institution. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in our Interventional Pulmonary and Advanced Bronchoscopic diagnostics by executing sophisticated procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
Clinical and Procedural Responsibilities:
- Execute advanced pulmonary interventions
- Collaborate with a well-established clinical and research Pulmonary Hypertension Comprehensive Care Center
- Deliver medical services in inpatient settings and outpatient clinics for general pulmonary and pulmonary vascular patients
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Education and Training:
- Provide educational support and training to Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellows
- Engage in Department and Division educational initiatives as per the established schedule
Research Contributions:
- Participate in research through clinical trials, translational studies, implementation science, and other recognized methodologies
Support for Institutional Mission:
- Contribute to the mission of delivering exceptional quality care
- Fulfill educational, research, and academic obligations

Essential Qualifications:
- MD/DO or equivalent qualification
- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary Medicine fellowship from an ACGME accredited program, with board certification/board eligibility in Pulmonary Diseases
- Proficiency in performing advanced pulmonary procedures and experience in delivering comprehensive pulmonary care with skills in advanced diagnostic techniques, therapeutic bronchoscopy for both benign and malignant conditions, and management of pleural disorders
- Strong dedication to the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows
- Eligibility for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
