Job Description

">

We are seeking an experienced Spaceflight Thermal Systems Engineer to support the development and operations of our New Glenn launch vehicle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for thermal/fluids design and analysis, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our spacecraft.

Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Conduct thermal analysis of the launch vehicle and its components to develop and verify design/qualification envelopes">
  • Integrate third-party thermal models into Blue Origin vehicle models">
  • Develop thermal loads from first principles, literature, and experiment">
  • Implement aero thermal, plume, and other convective heating environments during all phases of flight">
  • Perform trade studies relating to subsystem design, architecture, and operation">
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement thermal/fluids designs">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering">
  • 5+ years of experience in thermal/fluids design and analysis">
  • Expertise in fluid and thermal modeling tools (e.g., ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS Classic)">
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills">
  • Able to obtain a U.S. security clearance">
