Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of custodial staff to ensure that all facilities are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure that all areas are cleaned regularly.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that facilities are maintained in accordance with university policies and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain all custodial equipment and supplies.
  • Develop and implement training programs for custodial staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and report on custodial staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Develop and implement budgets and financial plans for custodial services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in custodial services or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supervising and managing a team of staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of custodial services and facilities management principles and practices.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial planning.
  • Certifications in custodial services or facilities management.
