Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Premier Estates in North Platte. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.
  • Document accurately the provisions of medication(s), including identification of recipient, name of medication, identification of person providing the medication, date, time, dosage, and route of medication.
  • Practice safety in application of medications, including storing medications in a secure location and complying with the resident's right to refuse medications.
  • Report all medication errors immediately upon discovery to resident/responsible party, physician, and supervisor.
  • Participate in initial and annual competency evaluations to demonstrate medication administration skills.
Requirements
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.
  • Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
  • Must meet general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile residents, family members, personnel, and visitors within the facility.
