Certified Medication Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at Emerald Nursing & Rehab Columbus, a leading skilled nursing facility committed to providing exceptional care to our residents.
The CMA will play a crucial role in administering medications, monitoring resident health, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all individuals under our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with facility protocols and physician orders.
- Observe and document changes in residents' conditions, including vital signs and any adverse reactions to medications.
- Maintain a clean and organized medication storage area and follow infection control procedures and safety protocols.
- Provide compassionate and respectful assistance to residents, addressing their needs and preferences while fostering a supportive and empathetic atmosphere.
- Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure that residents' needs are met.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current certification as a Medication Aide (CMA) as required by Nebraska regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals and build positive relationships with residents and their families.
