Job Summary

Pioneer Management Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Energy Program Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Energy and Utilities practice, you will be responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of projects across the energy and transmission sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide program management oversight, including managing multiple project teams, portfolio roadmaps, executive reporting, and overall portfolio progress.
  • Be assigned as Project Manager to lead specific key projects within the portfolio from initiation through close-out activities, including managing scope according to technical contracts, developing change orders, and maintaining project schedules to ensure successful projects across the portfolio.
  • Promote, monitor, and facilitate program performance data analysis and insights for all projects, programs, and/or portfolios executed within the team.
  • Hire, coach, train, and manage project managers and other team members for growth and development opportunities.
  • Actively manage team resource planning and workload.
  • Responsible for project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and hiring.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required (master's preferred).
  • Extensive experience in portfolio, program, and project management, ideally within the utilities industry and electrical transmission.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience managing people within a PMO or program setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and project controls methodologies.
  • PMP Certification and OSHA 10 or 30 Certification preferred.
  • Comfort handling ambiguity and managing multiple assignments.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • High level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively expand professional networks through strategic relationship building and engagement.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude with a willingness to do what it takes to deliver excellent work product and customer experiences.
  • Ability to commute to various clients and construction sites in the Denver metropolitan area.

The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on factors such as skillset and experience. Bonuses and other incentives are awarded based on individual contributions and overall company performance.
