Job Overview

We are seeking a Field Service Technician specializing in PLC-based electro-mechanical systems for a leading OEM serving the manufacturing sector.

This role involves working with customizable MES factory automation systems that are unique to our operations.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in installing or troubleshooting electronic control systems (SCADA, MES, HMI, DCS, or similar) in industrial settings.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, including writing or customizing ladder logic code and familiarity with related PLC technologies.
  • Experience in connecting PLC systems to networks using TCP/IP, routers, switches, and other networking environments.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and effective time management abilities.
  • Prior experience in a similar role with a company that designs, builds, customizes, installs, or services PLC-based electronic control systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with multiple PLC programming brands (such as Emerson, GE, Allen Bradley, Modicon/Schneider, Rockwell PLC) and knowledge of software like iFix, WinCC, MES, Wonderware, Profinet, or other Ethernet connectivity to PLC systems is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Additional Skills (Preferred but Not Required):

  • Knowledge of PCB (Printed Circuit Boards), wiring, and troubleshooting low-level electronics in industrial automation systems.
  • Programming experience in SQL, C#, C++, or similar languages.
  • Educational background in Electrical Engineering or related technical training is a plus.
  • Experience in a similar electronics field engineering role is also beneficial.
