Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Blackwell Talent. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and promoting independence in daily living activities.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address functional limitations and promote optimal health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Remediate instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) to enable patients to perform daily tasks safely and effectively.
  • Train patients in functional mobility, including the use of ambulatory devices and transfers to different surfaces.
  • Assess and recommend home modifications and safety equipment to reduce barriers and promote safe functioning.
  • Explore adaptations and compensatory strategies for return to volunteer or paid employment.
  • Assess current leisure skills and provide guidance on new leisure pursuits.
  • Teach patients with cognitive and perceptual deficits in compensatory techniques to maximize abilities.
  • Modify the environment and adapt tasks for safety, such as falls prevention and fatigue management.
Qualifications:
  • Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Successful completion of National Certification Examination.
  • Valid OT license in the state of practice.
  • At least 1 year of verifiable, supervised professional experience within the last 3 years.
