About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our Critical Care team at Boston Medical Center.

Job Summary: As a Patient Care Technician, you will provide direct clinical and support services to patients and their families in our 27-bed Medical Step Down unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of delegated patient care interventions, including obtaining vital signs, bathing and feeding, and assisting with hygiene.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the Critical Care department, ensuring quality patient/family clinical outcomes.
  • Participate in the delivery of care to patients and their families, using our patient-centered care model.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Certification in basic life support (BLS), including CPR certification.
  • Ability to pass clinical competency testing.
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
