Role Summary:
We are in search of a skilled Floor Operations Manager to oversee the comprehensive management of their designated area.

Collaborating closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, the Floor Operations Manager will be accountable for financial oversight, inventory management, and the professional development of Sales Associates.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing standards for seamless store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and floor presentation.
  • Achieving critical financial objectives.

Standards:

  • Fostering a culture of professionalism and high standards throughout the floor with a composed and effective management style.
  • Ensuring all team members are well-informed of expected standards and store protocols.

Customer Engagement and Sales:

  • Delivering top-tier customer service consistently.
  • Ensuring customer information is captured for the company database.
  • Maintaining a record of key customers relevant to the floor.
  • Meeting monthly and seasonal sales targets through teamwork.
  • Actively participating in sales efforts and driving revenue.

Team Development:

  • Guaranteeing adequate staffing coverage on the floor at all times.
  • Facilitating the growth and training of the Floor Team, identifying specific training needs.
  • Collaborating with Store Management to optimize staff allocation for operational efficiency.
  • Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff members.
  • Supporting ongoing training initiatives for staff.

Operational Management:

  • Co-managing the daily opening and closing procedures of the store and floor.
  • Participating in daily meetings to set targets and objectives.
  • Leading daily floor meetings to provide direction and communicate goals.
  • Ensuring proper use of inventory management systems by floor staff.
  • Overseeing the replenishment of supplies as needed.
  • Managing daily cash reconciliation.
  • Maintaining facilities and ensuring all systems and equipment are in good condition.
  • Upholding cleanliness and organization standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Inventory Management:

  • Working closely with the Merchandising Team and Store Management to ensure:
  • Timely stock movement on and off the floor.
  • Accurate receipt and processing of incoming shipments.
  • Precise recording of stock movements.
  • Daily stock replenishment based on sales.
  • Regular review of merchandise to maintain optimal stock levels and provide recommendations for reorders.
  • Maintaining vigilance to minimize shrinkage and reporting any losses promptly.
  • Conducting quarterly stock audits.

Financial Oversight:

  • Collaborating with Store Management to establish monthly and weekly financial targets.
  • Regularly reviewing departmental performance with Store Management.
  • Preparing end-of-season and end-of-day reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in retail sales, particularly within a luxury environment.
  • 3-4 years of management experience preferred.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure during peak sales periods.
  • Understanding of the Comme Des Garcons brand and its aesthetic is preferred.
  • Possession of a client book with potential new business opportunities.
  • Language skills are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is beneficial.
