Explore an exciting opportunity with Sinclair Broadcast Group, a leading provider of local news and sports. We are seeking an experienced Investigative Reporter to join our 7 News On Your Side team in Washington, DC.

This role requires a journalist who is relentless in pursuing answers and has a proven track record of impactful reporting. You must be skilled in researching and sorting through data to find the storylines, and have a firm grasp of multi-platform reporting.

The ideal candidate will be able to jump in on major breaking news to add context to our coverage and engage with our viewers. You should have strong storytelling skills, know how to create visualizations, and be able to collaborate with our Leadership Team, Photojournalists, and legal department.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining contacts and sources, identifying and pitching original investigative angles, and having strong writing skills to reveal new information and showcase process journalism.

A successful candidate will also be able to creatively produce stories, be flexible and knowledgeable, and maintain an active social media presence to build their brand and engage with followers.

We offer a competitive salary of $**$80,000 - $100,000 per year**, based on experience, and a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
