We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assessment Specialist to join our team at MRG Exams in Alexandria, MN. As a Medical Assessment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the VA's disability benefits process by performing medical assessments on United States Veterans.

Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to serve the veteran community while working in a clinical setting. You will work closely with Veterans, reviewing their medical records and conducting in-person physical exams to assess their medical condition. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing medical assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day
  • Reviewing medical records electronically through a web portal
  • Conducting in-person physical exams
  • Documenting exam findings required by the VA through the web portal

This is not a treatment or prescribing position. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant DOES NOT make disability determinations. The United States Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
  • Be proficient in using a computer
  • Have excellent time management and organizational skills
Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Other benefits include:
