About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at RHA Health Services. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing community-based intervention and prevention services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support for individuals with disabilities and challenging behavior in a community and/or residential setting.
  • Assist individuals in identifying and communicating their requests and needs for services and supports.
  • Implement services and supports to address individuals' goals and desired outcomes as identified through the START Team.
  • Seek to understand individuals in the context of their personal history, social and family networks, and hopes and dreams for the future.
  • Provide a therapeutic environment for individuals at all times.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and one year of experience in direct support with individuals with mental health and intellectual disabilities who have serious behavioral challenges and experience with crisis management.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance coverage for liability.
  • Maintain proficiency in company-sponsored training and certifications specified and/or required by future company regulations.
