The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance. As a Lead Diesel Technician at Performance Foodservice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency within the food distribution system.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Complete preventative maintenance and standard component inspections/ repairs of fleet diesel equipment.
  • Using PFG tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
  • Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required.
  • Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.

You will also be responsible for inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent Experience.
  • 5-7 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
