About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Developer to join our dynamic team in the financial sector. This role is ideal for a passionate developer who is proficient in JavaScript and experienced in developing and implementing user interface components using React concepts and workflows such as Redux, Flux, and Webpack.

This is a hybrid position that offers the flexibility of working both remotely and at our office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new user-facing features using React and JavaScript, ensuring a seamless user experience across various devices and browsers.
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use, promoting code reusability and efficiency.
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code, collaborating with designers and stakeholders to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Optimize components for maximum performance, ensuring fast loading times and smooth user interactions.
  • Coordinate with various teams working on distinct layers, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Lead and mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and success.
  • Ensure robust and secure handling of sensitive financial data, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
  • Thorough understanding of React and its core principles.
  • Experience with popular workflows (such as Flux or Redux).
  • Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript.
  • Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Lodash).
  • Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
  • Experience with common front-end development tools.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
