Position Overview
The Grants Specialist plays a pivotal role in the College of Education and Human Sciences, providing essential support for grant-related activities. - Execute and review both routine and complex pre- and post-award grant transactions with precision.

- Utilize advanced technology to enhance service delivery and maintain high standards of professionalism.

Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's degree with four years of relevant experience in finance or grant management; equivalent education or experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar large finance systems.
- Strong willingness to learn new software and hardware systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and sustain positive relationships across various levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in project or cost accounting.
- Background in finance or grant tasks within a business context.
- Experience in conducting training sessions.
- Familiarity with grants management systems such as NuRamp.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to business practices.
- Understanding of grant terminology and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach colleagues.
- Experience in human resources within tribal or Indigenous organizations.
- Evidence of cultural humility.

Additional Information
This position does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and is not subject to pre-employment or random testing for controlled substances. A criminal history background check is mandatory for this role.
