Job Summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Production Sr Operator to join our Moses Lake, WA team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, test, and monitor assigned equipment according to established guidelines.
  • Observe and conduct operation of equipment and document maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot control panels, error lights, and messages to ensure proper equipment function.
  • Communicate with equipment technicians relating to complex issues.
  • Verify equipment data for reporting.
  • Support and assist with the installation of operating equipment.
  • Control and adjust machine settings to complete complex tasks.
  • Assist with training other machine operators.
  • Calculate and assist with numeric controlled programming.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience.
  • Vocational/Technical Training Degree.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Written communication skills.
  • Ability to gather and document information.
  • Ability to lift/move heavy objects.
  • Mechanical knowledge.
  • Safety knowledge.
Physical Demands
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
