Automotive Lubrication Specialist (Entry Level)

In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential inspections and lubrication services for vehicles in our modern, climate-controlled facility. With dedication and effort, you can advance your career in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough multipoint inspections of vehicles
  • Communicate any additional service or repair requirements to service advisors
  • Utilize hand or air-powered grease guns to service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles
  • Monitor fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles
  • Check and adjust tire pressure
  • Apply specified lubricants to moving components
  • Drain and refill oil in the crankcase
  • Add water to the radiator and battery as needed
  • Replace oil and air filters
  • Inspect vehicles for any additional repair needs
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and codes of conduct
  • Follow safety protocols to minimize exposure to fumes, dirt, and hazardous chemicals

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and based on experience, aligning with industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Must meet the dealership's employment criteria
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and information
  • Familiarity with various aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Valid driver's license and capability to operate manual transmissions
  • Previous experience as a technician's helper or apprentice is preferred, but training is available
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Occasional exposure to adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to operate a vehicle
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stooping
  • Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently
  • Significant walking and/or standing may be required, along with the ability to work seated for extended periods while operating controls
