Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lubrication Technician to join our team at Sonic Automotive. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' vehicles by performing lubrication services and other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform lubrication services, including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations, to maintain the optimal condition of our customers' vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain lubrication equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with production foremen and service advisors to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, communicating effectively with customers, and addressing their concerns in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience as a technician's helper, apprentice technician, or lube technician in an automotive dealership or service shop.
  • Basic understanding of automotive systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
  • Experience using automotive tools and equipment, such as wrenches, oil filter wrenches, and socket sets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other technicians, service advisors, and customers, with strong communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Authorization to work in the USA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications, such as ASE certification, or completion of a formal automotive technician training program.
