Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a good working knowledge of agency mission, vision, and philosophy.
  • Engage with prospective Dwyer Scholar applicants and collect data to determine program eligibility.
  • Work with Dwyer Scholars to identify barriers to success and develop action plans to eliminate them.
  • Manage program supportive services for and with Scholars during pre-training and training program.
  • Responsible for thoroughly and accurately documenting program service encounters and demographic information in the database management system.
  • Deliver pertinent DWD program information to Dwyer Scholars during training programs.
  • Maintain current and confidential record keeping systems.
  • Support recruitment activities and community events as needed.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and abide by the Data Privacy Act.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating with and assisting co-workers as needed.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of local community resources and social services.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills.
  • Be highly organized and work independently.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 or more years' experience working with human service agencies/programs.
  • Working knowledge of modern office communication systems and ability to operate various office equipment.
