The Town of Smyrna, TN is seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator III to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our wastewater treatment plant.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control plant operations to ensure compliance with EPA and Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation regulations
- Perform laboratory work to test and analyze wastewater samples
- Operate and maintain equipment related to plant operations, including calibration of chemical feed pumps and instruments
- Enter and update files on a computer for preparing reports, spreadsheets, and maintenance records
- Maintain sanitary cleanliness of work areas and associated facilities
- Work safely observing all OSHA, Federal, State, and Town regulations
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid Tennessee Commercial Drivers License or ability to obtain within six months of employment
- Grade III Wastewater Certificate or ability to obtain within eighteen months
- One year of experience in a related field or associate degree in a related field or combination
- Ability to wear mandatory safety equipment
Wednesday - Saturday, 10:00 pm - 8:00 am
