Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, People to join our Commercial People Team in Jersey City, NJ. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our people processes, including competency appraisal, target setting, and organization and people review. You will also recommend and implement new people programs to address the needs of our client group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align with our company culture and have an authentic approach to connecting with people.
  • Understand how to translate culture into local people solutions that resonate with employees and positively impact the business.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, presentation, and listening skills.
  • Develop local actions to promote and drive already established guidelines to talent management, People Package budgeting, and rewards philosophies.
  • Coach, mentor, and perform management to coach for improvement or high potential development.
  • Stay up-to-date on trends and technology that can be leveraged to support effective and engaging development.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility.
  • Have a strong work ethic and well-honed prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Be a strategic thinker and demonstrate the ability to propose and implement ideas and solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years directly related experience, 5+ years preferred.
  • CPG experience a plus.
  • Experience in creating and implementing strategic and impactful Human Resources initiatives.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: HR Generalist, Learning & Development, Talent Management, Recruitment OE/OD, and Coaching.
  • Strong computer skills, including PC experience with Microsoft Suite (especially Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
