Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Finance to join our team at the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for directing the financial activities of the hotel, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reports, and providing strategic financial guidance to our management team.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Assist the Director of Finance in overseeing the financial activities of the hotel, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Accounting Practices and Procedures: Ensure compliance with finance SOP manual, participate in asset inventories, and maintain records storage area in accordance with record retention requirements.
- Accounts Receivable and Cash Flow: Manage and oversee all accounts receivable functions, including collection calls, and ensure timely cash deposits.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Assist the Director of Finance with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts each period.
- Management of Department: Identify, screen, and attract management candidates, train associates in job responsibilities, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- One year of experience in hotel or hospitality-related finance and accounting.
- Knowledge of hotel financial statements and reconciliation of A and L accounts.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Analytical approach to problems with high regard for detail and accuracy.
- Sound administrative and managerial skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
