Veterinary Technician

We are a growing 3 doctor, AAHA accredited veterinary practice offering services to dogs, cats and exotic animals. Our hospital is located in a historical home and we take pride in our unique boutique setting.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary support staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Responsibilities- Administer medications, assist with treatments, diagnostics, and monitoring
- Prepare patients for anesthesia and surgery, and assist with recovery
- Provide patient dental care, including ultrasonic cleaning and polishing
- Collect, prepare, and run laboratory samples, and read and record results
- Prepare invoices, discharge instructions, and client informational tools
- Communicate with clients regarding hospitalized patients, and provide education on at-home care procedures
- Assist with reception and front desk duties as needed
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, as well as manipulate up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds with a coworker.
