This role is focused on managing the quality assurance processes for products at The Toro Company, providing support to team members on quality initiatives, and conducting training and assessments of product quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and interpret data from a variety of sources including manuals, drawings, and specifications.
- Evaluate and inspect machined and assembled components to ensure compliance with standards.
- Document and investigate quality concerns raised from different departments within the organization.
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, and hydraulic schematics to identify and address quality challenges.
- Implement corrective and preventive measures as required.
- Conduct inspections of machinery and components, and manage the disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Support the validation of new and existing products, facilitate problem-solving efforts, and provide training on quality-related topics.
- Draft, revise, and maintain business documentation such as change orders and procedural guidelines.
- Organize and oversee product-related documentation for easy access and reference.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills with a strong performance record.
- Familiarity with quality assurance standards, corrective action protocols, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Excellent communication and computer proficiency.
- 4+ years of experience in machining or fabrication.
- Ability to read technical drawings and comprehend measurements.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T and PPAP processes.
- Regular use of computers in an office/shop setting.
- Potential outdoor work with exposure to various environmental conditions.
- Variable workloads and deadlines.
- Typical work weeks may extend to 50 hours.
