Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case Preparation: Assist in drafting initial case pleadings, including notices of appearance and answers, and review and summarize discovery responses served by all parties in the case.
  • Fact Investigation: Conduct thorough research and investigation of parties, jobsites, companies, and other entities using various publicly-available resources.
  • Case Management: Maintain case management software to reflect all information provided in case documents and coordinate with expert witnesses for retention and review of case materials.
  • Document Review: Review and summarize document productions, including medical records, employment records, Social Security records, Naval records, sales records, invoices, internal communications, and other documents.
  • Pre-Trial Support: Research and analyze applicable case law for various pre-trial motions, review and summarize deposition testimony for pre-trial motions and cross-examinations, and prepare trial boxes as needed.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Prior paralegal experience preferred, familiarity with legal documents and terminology, extensive computer and database expertise with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, and ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills: Superior written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work as a team with attorneys and other colleagues.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Filevine or Document Management experience and personal awareness and desire for continued personal and professional development.
