Uphams Corner Health Center is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Director to oversee our dedicated pharmacy team. At Uphams, we foster a collaborative environment where we share knowledge and resources to enhance the health and wellness of our community.
Uphams Corner Health Center provides comprehensive and affordable health services, including primary care, behavioral health, and specialized programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of our community members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership to drive program success and align with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement systems to enhance pharmacy productivity.
- Establish policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and accreditation standards.
- Review and update pharmacy policies annually or as needed.
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare the annual budget and submit capital expenditure requests.
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations.
- Order medications and manage in-house pharmaceuticals as permitted by regulations.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate medication profiles by pharmacy staff.
- Supervise the preparation of medications in compliance with established policies and regulations.
- Provide drug information and consultation to staff and patients.
- Maintain documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Ensure pharmacy equipment is up-to-date and accessible.
- Lead the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
- Utilize pharmacy management systems for inventory and billing functions.
- Coordinate with Human Resources on staff credentialing and training.
- Ensure pharmacy security and access control.
- Guarantee that prescriptions are dispensed appropriately.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Active MA Pharmacist License required.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution required.
- 3-5 years of experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy.
- Minimum of 2 years in a management role.
- Experience with 340B programs preferred.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Develop short-term departmental plans and objectives.
- Supervise clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Recruit, train, and develop pharmacy staff.
