Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Job Summary:

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, driving financial modeling, budgeting, and analysis. This role will oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting processes, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive financial management, planning, systems, and controls for internal stakeholders
  • Understand accounting implications of changes in process and organizational changes
  • Conduct calls with key stakeholders to understand operational applications of changes in structure
  • Manage budgeting, revenue forecasting, and financial review process for assigned Cardone Ventures departments
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analysis for senior management
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth

Competencies:

  • Demonstrate understanding of all aspects of the corporate structure of Cardone Ventures
  • Knowledge of revenue versus profitability and implications of operational changes to the business
  • Ability to make decisions for the organization based on financial models and profitability
  • Understanding of month-end closing cycle and accounting change impacts to the reporting of the financial picture
  • Ability to develop complex financial models, budgets, and financial reporting packages
  • Ability to analyze financial data and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flows)
  • Ability to understand department budget and roles within their team to develop individual incentive compensation plans
  • Facilitate actionable reporting & dashboards to key stakeholders
  • Understanding of cash to accrual concepts, benefits of each, and impact on moving from one to the other
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel or Google sheet functions and formulas to increase efficiency

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related area of study, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of work experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a consulting capacity
