Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Oversee the preparation of our quarterly and annual financial statements, including the consolidation of financial data from various entities.
  • U.S. GAAP and IFRS Compliance: Ensure that our financial statements and accounting practices comply with U.S. GAAP and IFRS regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and support to remote entities, including complex contracts and accounting issues.
  • Technical Accounting: Lead and review technical accounting memos prepared by the external reporting department and provide guidance to the Strategic business units on implications.
  • Financial Reporting: Review and analyze submitted financial information from strategic business unit controllers for compliance with corporate policies and accuracy of data.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Keep abreast of emerging U.S. GAAP and IFRS regulations and ensure adoption and implementation across the organization with development of accounting policies, procedures and financial statement disclosures.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate and lead activities with internal and external auditors to ensure timely, accurate completion of consolidated financial audits.
  • Financial Information: Prepare financial information for annual reports and regulatory agency disclosures as required.

Requirements

  • Education: University degree in business administration, commerce, economics, or a related field; or equivalent.
  • Accounting Designation: Recognized accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA).
  • Experience: Several years of experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial planning and analysis or other financial activity.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS regulations.
