Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for solar inverter and energy storage systems, including commissioning, warranty, and operations and maintenance (O&M) activities.
  • Field Service: Perform field service activities, including installation, testing, and maintenance of solar inverter and energy storage systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance activities, including routine inspections and maintenance of solar inverter and energy storage systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with solar inverter and energy storage systems, including DC array grid faults, inverter design issues, and utility grid transients.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all field service activities, including work orders, maintenance records, and technical reports.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree in an engineering or computer science discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience: 3+ years of overall experience in a technical field, with 2+ years of experience in solar inverters or energy storage systems.
  • Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Certifications: OSHA 10 certificate and NFPA 70e certificate within 12 months of date of hire.
Working Conditions
  • Travel: 80%+ of the time, with frequent travel to customer sites and Sungrow facilities.
  • Work Location: Victoria, TX area, with occasional travel to other locations as needed.
