Join our team as a Healthcare Credentialing Coordinator

Position Summary:

This role is essential in providing support and acting as a liaison for Medical Staff and Allied Health professionals.

The Coordinator is responsible for verifying credentials of all physicians and allied health practitioners in accordance with JCAHO standards, Medical Staff Bylaws, and privilege delineation requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting queries with state and federal agencies as part of the credentialing process.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date roster of physicians and allied health professionals, including necessary documentation such as licenses, DEA registrations, malpractice insurance, and Board Certifications.
  • Generating reports and labels as needed.
  • Accurately entering all physician and practitioner information into credentialing software systems.
  • Performing Primary Source Verifications as required.

Required Skills:

Knowledge of healthcare practices, medical terminology, and filing systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in hospital credentialing as opposed to office-based credentialing.

Experience Level:

Entry Level
