Position: Automotive Validation Engineer

Role Summary:

The Automotive Validation Engineer at NetGroup Inc. is essential in establishing and implementing verification standards for automotive features, functionalities, and field evaluations. This role employs diverse methodologies such as simulations, rig assessments, and real vehicle tests to guarantee that technical testing criteria are met throughout project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Feature Validation:

  • Execute physical evaluations concentrating on durability and strength assessments of automotive systems and components.
  • Design and develop transducers and testing rigs, performing fatigue assessments utilizing hydraulic and electrodynamic testing apparatus.
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle data collection, corrosion resistance testing, climate chamber evaluations, and detailed data analysis.
  • Align digital simulations with real-world test outcomes, particularly in the context of E-mobility and cutting-edge technologies.

Function Validation:

  • Grasp functional requirements and verification criteria to set testing objectives.
  • Formulate testing strategies, oversee preparation, and manage execution phases.
  • Evaluate outcomes and provide insights within relevant technological domains.
  • Handle fault documentation from testing processes, record findings, and compile engineering reports.
  • Regularly refine testing methodologies and suggest updates to technical specifications in collaboration with relevant technology sectors.
  • Create strategies and develop testing protocols for innovative technologies and transportation solutions.
  • Facilitate and support feature and function evaluations or field trials in emerging markets.

Additional Duties:

  • Develop and uphold testing protocols and methodologies.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of testing methods and protocols.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Cultivate a robust network within the organization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for complex engineering challenges.
  • Contribute to project strategies and roadmaps in alignment with industry advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline; advanced degree is preferred.
  • Significant experience in engineering validation, particularly within the automotive sector or related fields.
  • Expertise in test planning, execution, and analytical evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of simulation, rig testing, and physical evaluation techniques.
  • Familiarity with E-mobility and emerging technologies is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Capacity to mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation: $87k - $97k+
