The technician will communicate automotive problems and solutions effectively to customers, demonstrating a solid grasp of vehicle inspection and automotive electrical systems. Proficiency in interpreting diagrams, circuits, and schematics is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out repairs with precision and efficiency as specified in repair orders.
- Identify vehicle malfunctions and implement necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with the parts department to procure needed components.
- Conduct vehicle inspections for additional safety or service requirements.
- Support less experienced team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and ensure cleanliness in the workshop.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations concerning hazardous waste management.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Interpret and utilize manufacturer’s technical drawings and manuals.
- Effectively use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Perform maintenance on air conditioning systems, brakes, engines, and other vehicle components.
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend availability
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years in automotive repair is required
Licensing/Certification: Training will be provided
