Job Overview

Greensboro Auto Auction, a premier independent auto auction in the South, is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Vehicle Inspector. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and safety of vehicles processed through our facility.

Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Vehicle Inspector will be tasked with performing fundamental automotive mechanical assessments. Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and checking essential vehicle fluids such as battery, oil, transmission fluid, and radiator levels.
  • Adding fluids as necessary to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
  • Recognizing and diagnosing tire issues.
  • Distinguishing various vehicle sounds to identify potential mechanical problems.
  • Starting and operating different types of ignition systems.
  • Completing additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Basic automotive mechanical skills; training will be provided.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles.
