Position Overview:
We are seeking Embedded Systems Sales Executives to broaden our influence in critical industries such as Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, Telecommunications, and consumer electronics.
The ideal candidates will possess technical expertise and familiarity with embedded Linux and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS). We are expanding our reach across all time zones, welcoming candidates from various countries, provided they have reasonable business access to significant market territories.
This role focuses on prospecting and strategic account development, requiring a high level of energy, ambition, and concentration. Success in this position hinges on the ability to effectively position and sell open-source solutions, services, and software to all organizational levels, particularly to departments engaged in developing embedded software and IoT devices.
Canonical offers licensed enterprise software products, commercial support, managed services, consulting, and training for clients deploying Ubuntu or open-source applications in cloud environments, data centers, or the connected device and IoT ecosystem.
With a revenue of $250 million, we are a profitable entity on a steady growth path, operating predominantly in a distributed manner with leadership dispersed across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a territory strategy to prioritize leading security-centric brands and manufacturers.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance brand visibility and increase market presence within targeted accounts.
- Generate a sales pipeline through outreach, prospecting, local marketing efforts, and participation in industry events.
- Negotiate contracts to meet and surpass quarterly and annual sales objectives while achieving strategic goals.
- Manage customer relationships throughout all phases of the sales process.
- Work alongside IoT Field Engineers to comprehend customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain precise data and forecasts within Salesforce.
- Establish productive professional relationships with key influencers and decision-makers.
- Coordinate with colleagues across support, delivery, and management functions.
Candidate Profile:
- Outstanding academic performance from both secondary and tertiary education.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline.
- Confidence to engage in constructive dialogue, provide feedback, and share insights openly.
- Proven track record of exceeding expectations to achieve exceptional results.
- Field sales experience in embedded Linux, embedded software, or enterprise software.
- History of meeting sales targets and securing large accounts.
